Problems students face in University, College and how to overcome them: The life of a student is full of ups and down. Alongside the exciting aspects of new opportunities, new experiences and meeting new people, there are also several problems that many students will come face to face with during their time at university. Every student lives a unique lifestyle, but many of these problems are extremely common, some of them even becoming the make-or-break point that will eventually define their entire university experience.

To help you make the best out of your time at university, here is a list of common problems and some of the most effective methods of dealing with them.
Money

To kickstart this list, quite possibly the most common issue faced by students. Student finances are renowned for being the bane of a student’s life. With rising tuition fees and accommodation rates alongside increases in day-to-day essentials such as food and utility bills, money can be such an overwhelming and time-consuming factor.
However, money shouldn’t be the point your university life revolves around. Student loans are relatively easy to acquire, and with simple money management skills, you can easily stay on top of your spending, so money isn’t an issue. One of the best ways to remain secure is taking up a part time job. This will give you extra income, and while you’re making money, you’re not spending it.
Another situation is with new business model of essays when students pay lots of money to have their assignments done. This usually happens when students work while studying and don’t have enough time to accomplish their tasks. They earn money to close their loans and gain experience.

Homesick
One of the initial challenges that students face, especially when starting university, is missing home. Friends and family can quickly seem very distant and it can be hard for some students to deal with and can start affecting their workflows and their productivity.
The best way to cope with this issue is by simply addressing it head on. If you live a few hour’s drive away from home, plan to visit every month or every two months. Thanks to the internet, it’s easy to stay in contact with friends and family at home and you can even video call if you find the time. Better yet, invite your friends to come and stay with you and go for a night out, introducing them to your new friends. The more, the merrier!
Conflicts with Roommates
Unless you’re extremely lucky, arguments are bound to occur at some stage with the people you’re living with. Whether you’re in a house share or a university accommodation, you’re very likely to have been placed with people you have never met before and may be from various social circles before. Depending on the nature of these individuals, they may miss rent payments or not hold up their end of the cleaning duties.
Ben Harper, a writer at Ox Essays, explains, “The best way to approach these issues is to communicate. Talk to the person in question about your concerns and how you can go about approaching them. Communicate with the rest of your house about the best options to take. However you choose to go about it, the best thing to do is the remain positive. In stressful situations, remove yourself from the environment and take some time to yourself.”

Relationships
Whether you’ve joined university already in a relationship or enter one while at university, relationships can be testing at the best of times. If you’re in a long-distance relationship, there are going to be very difficult times ahead. On campus, different social groups and conflicting interests can also be the source of arguments and break ups
Working at University
Many students will find the initial workload of university shocking. Compared to school or college, the amount of work you have to complete at university can be unlike anything you’ve had to manage before, and it’s even scarier when you realise you’ve got to manage your time by yourself. With proper time management skills and prioritizing the order in which you work, you should easily be able to find a nice balance where you can manage everything.
Alternatively, a lot of students can’t find the time to complete all their assignments. As they have very limited time while at the university to fit everything they want into their days. Looming assignment deadlines can cause overwhelming amounts of stress which will almost always backfire.”
This time becomes even more limited if students are trying to hold down a part-time job. In these situations, many students opt to use custom writing services. These sites can complete writing assignments and essays on your behalf, allowing to free up time to focus on other important aspects of university life.
In our digital age, there are a lot of tools that are a big help for students, such as Cite It In, to perfect the quality of your written work, adding in the correct references and citations, making it easy for you to complete your work to the highest standard. Also, Easy word count is good tool for students to know how many words are in their tasks.
Additionally, there are a wealth of online tools like State of writing or Elite assignment help which students can use to simplify workloads when they struggle to complete their assignments to a high standard without having to waste too much of precious time. Tools such as Plagium and Academized assist you in ensuring that your written work is free from plagiarism, a strict rule that can result in you losing your place on your course.
Becoming Ill/Sick
Due to the nature of a university lifestyle, aspects of wellbeing, including sleep, diet and nutrition, can very quickly go out the window. These factors, in addition to consuming high levels of alcohol, means that you’re increasingly likely to get sick and ill. As you can imagine, this is a condition most students will want to be in.
To counteract this, students should ensure that they pace themselves on night’s out while making sure they have ample amounts of sleep and the correct number of meals a day. By fuelling your body with the right amount of food, and the healthy kinds of food, you can ensure you are always operating to your full potential. This will show in your productivity and the way you connect socially with your friends and lecturers.

Each situation is unique so it can be hard to address. The best advice is to remain positive and approach any disagreements like adults. Remain calm, level-headed and positive. If it’s not meant to be, it’s not meant to be, no matter how hard that is to comprehend at the time.

Raila appears on CNN, reveals NASA's next political step

Kenya's opposition leader Raila Odinga has opened up to CNN International, hours after his arch-rival President Uhuru Kenyatta was inaugurated for his second term.

Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto were sworn-in on Tuesday at Kasarani stadium.

Raila and his NASA coalition has since vowed not to recognise him as president, saying he is an illegitimate president following a boycotted fresh presidential election on October 26.

During an interview with CNN from his Capitol Hill offices on Wednesday, the former prime minister told the world that his NASA coalition "will abide by the constitution."

The statement came after he declared that he would be sworn in as Kenya's fifth president on December 12, a day Kenyans will be celebrating Jamhuri Day.

According to him, he will be sworn in by the people through his People's Assembly as the Constitution clearly says the sovereignty lies with the people.

Odinga vowed to give Uhuru's government sleepless nights until he is ejected and Kenyans get electoral justice and right to their democratic freedom.

If he swears himself in, Odinga risks being hanged for treason.

Molo; residents to benefit from free male circumcision

Locals  from Molo Sub County are set to benefit from a two days free medical camp organised by Kimani Kuria foundation.

Kuria the Chairman of the  foundation said the medical camp which will be held at St joseph clinic elburgon  will cater for all those who are interested.
He said a team of 10 doctors, specialists and nurses will oversee the process adding that it will reduce the burden on parents who can't afford to cater for the expenses due to change in harvest pattern and economic fall down due to the electioneering process which took almost a year causing most businesses to paralyse.

Kuria said the initiative is part of the annual event the foundation will be holding to give back to the community adding that next year it will expand to other areas.

Speaking to the press in Molo town, Kuria urged parents to take advantage of the foundation initiative since it will be beneficial to the young boys as it adds value such as reducing risks of HIV infection.

He added that the main aim of the camp is to treat the locals who most of the times have difficulties in accessing affordable quality treatment.

"I urge all locals to turn up in their numbers and take advantage of this exercise since this is my Christmas gift to the people of Molo sub county and its environs," he said.

Raila Odinga to tour Eldoret on Sunday.

National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga will this Sunday tour Uasin Gishu County, Deputy President William Ruto’s backyard.

Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) member Kipkorir Arap Menjo said the opposition leader will attend a Sunday Mass at the Eldoret Catholic Diocese in honor of the deceased Bishop Cornelius Korir.

“I want to confirm that NASA chief Raila Odinga will attend a Sunday service mass at 10:00 am and thereafter address supporters in Eldoret town before going back to Nairobi,” he said in Eldoret town, Wednesday.

“I call upon all NASA supporters in the county to come out in large numbers and welcome the people’s president. Let us show him some love as he lands in our county,” he added.

He, however, called upon supporters to maintain peace and refrain from actions that may cause violence as they are waiting for the way forward from the party leader after the Supreme Court upheld President Uhuru Kenyatta’s win.

“Let us maintain peace no matter our political and tribal affiliations since Kenya is for all of us and not some few self-centered individuals,” noted Menjo.

A tale of one country, two presidents?

A tale of one country, two presidents?

NASA's threat to swear in Raila tomorrow puts the country in unchartered waters, presenting the most difficult situation for the nation since its independence.

As a country, we have had disputes in the past, but none ranks in magnitude like the one at our hands now.

This comes at a time when the country is highly divided. To have a situation where each side of the country will have its own President would have serious ramification on national unity.

That is why it would be prudent to dissuade Raila from his move that is likely to plunge the country into the abyss.

Leaders must be willing to sit on the round table of dialogue to remove the air of uncertainty in the country.
We do not want a tale of one country, two Presidents as has been the case with a few of our African states resulting in seething animosities between the different nationalities within our nation state.

The two great leaders nmust put the country before their personal ambition and agree on an amicable way forward.

Kenya cannot afford one more day of uncertainty as the economy has suffered massive loses due to the protracted political conflict.

By destroying the present, we are busy destroying the future of our children and their children.

Pray that as the sun sets tomorrow, we shall have one President for the Nation of Kenya.

How to Become a Millionaire without a University Degree

How to Become a Millionaire without a University Degree

Gone are days when our parents used to advise us that without education, becoming a millionaire is a pipe dream. Today, school dropouts are the employers, and university degree holders are beggars. Am going to take you through steps to follow so as to become a millionaire without necessarily depending on your university degree.

What we learn in our schools is, work hard, secure a well-paying job, marry and prepare for retirement-we are not advised on how to be job creators. This idea sinks into every bright student’s mind and makes average students give up on education. After exam results are out, the A students would join top universities while D and C students would either go to middle-level colleges or start to fend for themselves through small businesses.

In our current Kenya, having a degree will not help much but knowing how to maneuver your ways to become a millionaire is what will help you achieve your goals. I have few points to guide you how to become a millionaire even without a university degree.

Drop your bloated ego

If you are a university graduate, shed off the title of, “I am a graduate”, and do anything that can give you money.

What happens in our country is that when a university graduate grabs that important certificate, he migrates to Nairobi. He embarks on job seeking mission, which takes him two to three years before he lands a poorly paying job, perhaps paying Ksh30,000 per month. Since he is desperate for a job, he remains in that company forever. If you are a graduate and you resolve to go this route, my friend I can assure you there is no way you can become a millionaire.

The best route to take as a graduate is self-employment. In case you manage to secure employment, the salary you get should help you with capital for business. Work for the company for not more than 5 years, thereafter start your own venture-this way you can become a millionaire.

After graduation, here is what to do.

Immediately you find yourself jobless, stop thinking about employment and embark on entrepreneurship. I believe you can afford Ksh 50,000. Use this money to start any of the following businesses:

Mitumba business, Fresh juice business, Food delivery to offices, Tomato farming, Grocery, Cereals business, Blogging Etc

These are small businesses you can easily manage as you seek employment. They will keep you busy and open your mind to realize you can make money minus your degree.

Alternatively, this is what to do

If you don’t want to be seen doing jobs reserved for illiterate people, you can provide professional services. If you are a statistician, start data Analysis Company, a CPA holder should aim of becoming a professional auditor, a Journalist can become a blogger or professional photographer, a teacher can start offering professional tuition services.

If you love making money online, you can start forex trading online.

If you are a D,E or C material, here is what to do

Normally, those who have passed exam look down upon average students. If you are one of these looked down upon, don’t lose hope..business is the way to go. From Njenga Karume’s life history, you will realize that even without education, you can make it in life. For you to become a millionaire, you have to embark on entrepreneurship.

The first route to take is, go for a driving school, and take up a job as a driver. Save part of your salary and buy your own matatu. Once you reach the point where you can own a matatu, I can tell you becoming a millionaire is a reality.

The second route to take is, join a mid-level college for a course in Mechanical engineering, cake baking or hotel management. After graduation, don’t wait to be employed, simply look for capital to start your business. Coffee house, cake baking business and garage business are some of the most proenufitable businesses in the country.

Rebo and Kihara lock horns in battle for Naivasha parliamentary seat.

Thursday 03/08/2017 12:18 am

The race for Naivasha Parliamentary seat has shaped up into youth vs old leadership.

Jayne Kihara will use the jubilee party while her opponent Anthony Rebo Ngure who has positioned himself as a youthful candidate will be seeking under independent candidate. The duo are already digging in for a major political battle for the elective seat.

Rebo a Naivasha based investor in Security and real estate has been termed as the most suitable candidate by aspirants who conceded defeat in party primaries.

He has since mounted a vicious battle for the seat emerging as the main challenger for Kihara.

Rebo touts experience both as a civic leader and a security expert  alongside his leadership skills and  eloquent public speaker  as giving him an upper hand to beat his Jubilee opponent  who is mostly termed as a failure during her last term in the national assembly as she did not achieve as expected by the raiyaa.

He is already causing Kihara sleepless nights as he positions himself as an agent of change poking holes in her opponent past  tenure as an Mp.

On the other hand, Kihara has nothing new to offer and is banking on Jubilee party development record to seek re-election and to hold off a powerful challenge from the opposition.

Pastor orders women to str!p and kisses their b^tts to attract marriage.

For the past few days, a picture has been circulating on social media depicting several naked women bending on a beach while a “pastor” kisses their behinds to apparently ensure they get the right marriage partners.

Numerous reports have surfaced, claiming to know the source of the image. We aren’t so sure.

It’s a bit odd to see so many women in their birthday suits, with their hands and knees in the tide, eagerly anticipating the “blessings” that this priest will bestow upon them.

Some reports claim that the picture is of a South African pastor while others claim it’s a Kenyan man of God.

By now, we all know that there are some church leaders who have a peverse inclination to take advantage of their church members. But this is just out of hand!

Do any of you, our readers know where this picture actually comes from?

Miguna’s running mate steps down

SATURDAY JULY 29 2017

Nairobi gubernatorial candidate Miguna Miguna has suffered a serious blow after his running mate Karen Wangenye dumped him.

Ms Wangenye called a press conference Saturday and declared that she had stepped down as Mr Miguna’s running mate due to poor relations with her boss.

“I have stepped down because of poor working relationship with my candidate, I believe in teamwork, if there is no teamwork, we cannot achieve what we are setting out to deliver to Nairobians,” she told Nation.

She maintained that as good as Mr Miguna’s manifesto was, it was going to be difficult to deliver with poor team work.

MANIFESTO

“I believe that our manifesto is exactly what Nairobi needs but we cannot deliver on it if we do not have team work,” she said.

She accused Mr Miguna, who is running as an independent candidate, of showing contempt to his opponents for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat.

“I don’t think the way to go about it is by abusing the media and your opponents because you have better education,” she noted.

SENATOR

Mr Miguna is facing off with current Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth and Nairobi Senator Mike Mbuvi Sonko.

Mr Miguna, a former advisor to National Super Alliance (Nasa) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has ion previous interviews dismissed Dr Kidero, Mr Sonko and Mr Kenneth as being part of the “cartels” that have looted the county government’s coffers.

Naivasha aspirant assures residents of accountability in utilization of Funds.

By Kel Wesh 28/7/2017

As he campaigned in hs constituency backyard Nyamathi and Mwicingiri area, Naivasha parliamentary aspirant on independent ticket Anthony Rebo Ngure said he will focus more on making sure the people of Naivasha are comfortable with the way the National Government Constituency Development Fund is utilized.

In his address to the people of Mwicingiri Rebo said the current MP has not been able to utilize the funds well saying a half of it is usually returned to the treasury while the remaining half isn’t accounted for given that it’s not utilized on the intended projects.

He said as the patron of the kitty he will ensure every time it is disbursed a meeting involving stakeholders will be called to get views from different people concerning projects they want to be accomplished.

“The current NGCDF office is constituted of people who are related  and therefore doesn’t represent well the general scope of Naivasha residents, therefore, a new crop of leaders is needed,” he said.

Given that the aspirant is targeting the seat as a youthful candidate, Rebo said he is politically mature enough and will get overwhelming support from Naivasha youths and residents in general and that he’ll deliver them from the current non-inclusive leadership.

Others eyeing the populated constituency are Eng Nguthiru and former legislature Jane Kihara who was rejected in 2013 due to underperforming and non tangible projects in the constituency.

I am the best candidate for Rongai -Moi

28/07/2017
by Kel Wesh

Rongai politics seems to be getting a momentum after it has become a two horse race despite having 3other aspirants who  have shown interests to unseat the current MP Raymond Moi.

But Moi seems confident of winning the seat for the 2nd term in the August elections.

Speaking at an interview today in his constituency, Moi expressed his confidence that come 8th, he will still win the Rongai seat since he does not see a competitive candidate to unseat him.

"So far the aspirants who have shown interests to vie for the seat in my constituency have nothing to offer to Rongaians. I have been the area legislator for 5 years. The constituents seem to be happy with my leadership and this is the reason they have supported me all the way and in 2017 I will still get the same support from the locals," he stated.

He argued that the aspirants are busy going in the constituency spoiling his name with false allegation and he confirmed that they will lose in the 2017 elections since the people of Rongai needs leaders with actions not words but an empty development record.

Tuesday 18 July 2017

Letter to Rongai constituency Aspirants.

Dear Rongai constituency aspirants, I know you are already abreast of the difficulties facing my constituency, so no need rehashing same. Nonetheless, for the purpose of this letter I shall rhapsodize about few that I think are very important for now, after all, you already know them. Youth

Nadezhda Mandelstam once said: “I decided it is better to scream. Silence is the real crime against humanity.” Silence is a number one killer indeed. Let me elucidate Hon. Aspirants. If you are sick, instead of telling a doctor or a friend about your condition and you choose to remain mute for fear of been stigmatized, the possibility is that you will die with a disease that should not have killed you in the first place.

Words can be twisted into any shape. Promises can be made to lull the heart and seduce the soul. In the final analysis, those words mean nothing if they are not  transformed into real action. Over the years, Member of Parliament (MP) aspirants have continued to lull the hearts and seduce the souls of the constituents of Rongai constituency for votes, and at the end, those litany of promises amount to nothing, until we got Kiongozi bila Maendeleo Hon Raymond Moi.

Many have said that MPs do not make roads and that they can only lobby. I agree to some extent. If MPs do not make roads, the question then is why would would-they promise heaven on earth things they know very well they cannot fulfill? That certainly includes roads. Perhaps, our MP have lobbied enough.

Many voters are now discerning, therefore, a would-be MP cannot hover from one community to the other promising mouthwatering promises when you are incapable of fulfilling same. Gone are the days when parliamentary aspirants would descend to Solai ward during electioneering periods only to offer voters calabashes of pito or some broken bottles of 'Kibao' as sacrifices for votes, after which they don't return.( where were you for the last 5years only to appear in 2017 and spoil our young generation with illicit liquor.??

When a lascivious man is seeking to take an innocent lady to bed, he would do everything on earth to get her, then after the lady would be jettisoned for life. This is how some of our politicians (SOME Emphasized) have been doing for now in Solai, especially where the area is a so-called world bank or stronghold of his or her party but the truth be told, Raymond Moi Tano Tena is real.

Words can be twisted into any shape. Promises can be made to lull the heart and seduce the soul. In the final analysis, those words mean nothing if they are not transformed into real action. Be ware of such aspirants, lets maintain our able hardworking MP.  at the end, those litany of promises amount to nothing.
Vote wisely
Raymond Moi Tano Tena.
Peace.

Nakuru county needs a talker -Not a ghost Governor.

July 17, 2017
By Kel Wesh

Nakuru aspiring governor Senator James Mungai hardly said a word in the Senate. And he has been silent in the Senate because most of the time he has been absent, preferring instead to be in his business in Thika.

When Nakuru people hear Senators Mike Sonko, Khalwale or Mutula Kilonzo Junior, Anyang’ Nyong’o or Kimani Wamatangi speak, they miss their senator, who could be there speaking about their many problems but he is never there.

Characteristically, the Senator of Nakuru did not address the County Assembly to give the MCAs his assessment of what problems or progress he believed it should have addressed or enhanced.

Worst of all, the Senator never even convened public meetings where he would share his opinions or views with the people or simply listen to them espouse their problems to him.

In short, representation of Nakuru people by Senator James Mungai in the Senate or anywhere else simply not there and Nakuru people could simply say they had no representation anywhere.

Now that the same ghost senator is around seeking re election as a governor, he should first apologize to Nakurians for robbing them their Democratic right of representation in the Senate. Senator Mungai is a robber who robbed Us voice and representation,

a robbery that is worse than that of property or anything else because it negates their vote and right of representation.

Nakuru county is open for tourism but not ready for a tourist Governor, a governor who have no track record for the past 5 years, a governor whose mission is to burden Wanjiku for another 5 years.
James Mungai respect Voters, apologize to them and before God first and you will be Ready to Go.

At no single account were you seen advocating for the president and his deputy yet you served under their party??

families flee Nakuru ahead of polls.

Families are fleeing parts of Nakuru county in fear of post-poll violence, a Naivasha clergyman has said.

Bishop Maurice Muhatia of the Nakuru Catholic diocese said the people are moving to areas they believe are safer.

He asked the government to assure citizens of their security during and after the August 8 general election.

Muhatia termed the incidents as worrying adding that Kenyans should not turn against each other despite their political affiliations.

"Some families are transporting their children and personal effects to their rural homes. This is very worrying," he said on Thursday.

Noting the 2007/8 post-poll violence that left at least 1,300 dead and more than 600,000 displaced, the Bishop warned against a repeat and asked politicians not to issue hate remarks.

"We have vowed, as Nakuru residents, that we shall not allow any form of violence in this county. We shall not go back to the dark days of 2007."

Muhetia spoke after holding a mass in honor of the 45 commuters who died in Karai, Naivasha following an accident in December last year.

The Star has learned that people, mainly those working in the flower farms, have started to flee while others have applied for leave in August.

Naivasha assistant county commissioner Richard Aguoka saidsecurity has been intensified and peace committees formed.
He challenged area residents to ignore politicians advocating divisive politics, noting women and children who suffer most.

"We are aware some of the locals have been fleeing from the area in the past for fear of election violence. This time round we are on high alert."

He called on politicians vying for the various seats to conduct their elections in a peaceful manner and avoid incitement.

Jubilee Naivasha MP candidate Jane Kihara called on politicians to preach peace and unite residents.

She called on youths to desist from being used by politicians to cause violence.

"The country had learned the hard way from the 2007 violence. We must embrace tolerance and peace. We need each other before, during and after the polls."

President Uhuru Kenyatta has warned that violence will not be tolerated. He said that anyone who attempts to disrupt the peace will be punished.

Nakuru Governor drops DG l;Picks new running mate.

Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has dropped his deputy Joseph Ruto and picked a new running mate for the August general elections. Mr Mbugua has settled on Dr Peter Ketyenya as he prepares to defend his seat on as an independent ticket. Mr Mbugua was trounced by former NTSA boss Lee Kinyanjui in the Jubilee Party primaries.
Addressing the media today in Nakuru Town this morning, Mr Mbugua said his decision to settle on a new running mate was motivated by the ‘unwillingness’ of his current deputy to seek re-election together with him.
"We finished our first term with my loyal deputy and we have never had a problem with him and we have discussed and he may not be very keen to seek re-election and its on that condition that I have been forced to seek for a new running mate,” said Mr Mbugua.
The governor thanked everyone who voted for him during the primaries for having trust in him and his government and said his decision to seek re-election as an independent candidate came after "huge and wide consultations" with professionals, business community, religious leaders and his family.
“Following the nominations I have continued to consult, I have talked and listened to various and valued views of groups who expressed reservations of the nomination process and it is because of their own consul and my own conviction that I have decided to seek reelection as an independent candidate,” he said.
He stated that many people have prevailed upon him to seek re-election after expressing their reservations on the nomination process by the Jubilee Party, saying he still had a chance of winning the next election arguing that many people did not turn out to vote during the nomination exercise.
He added that it was his democratic and constitutional right to defend his seat, saying he won't let the people of Nakuru down. He thanked the Jubilee Party and its leadership for the support they have been extending to his government for the last four years. He vowed to continue supporting the president and his deputy promising to mobilize votes for their re-election.

WHY SOME ASPIRANTS LOST IN THE CONCLUDED PRIMARIES

WHY SOME ASPIRANTS LOST IN THE CONCLUDED PRIMARIES.

1.Lack of funds
This was evident as some lacked basic campaign materials and when they did get ,it could not effectively serve the purpose.

2.Lack of strategic partnerships and linkages .
Campaign's do need some linkages with key stakeholders in the different facets of the intended jurisdiction ,but some aspirants never saw this need hence the failure to strike the emotions of the electorates.

3.Campaigning for other candidates.
This was a habit with majority of MCA aspirants who took their sweet time talking about senatorial and gubernatorial aspirants and leaving their campaigns in tatters.
This made some to be labelled as  spanner boys for other candidates .

4.Arrogance and know it all attitude .
This  was a bigger issue with first time politicians and the ones who enjoyed good rapport with the "king makers".This are the aspirants you could not advise and saw their idea as alpha and omega .They also were not conversant with the needs of the electorates and imagined the problems facing the constitients without trying to find out if it was the correct version.

5.Lack of contingency planning.
When faced with a challenge ,the aspirant could use the same method to try and solve it which led to failure .

6.Cronies in the campaign teams and strategic teams.
This was the biggest undoing to all aspirants who failed .
Some had their girlfriend's and boyfriends in the strategic committees which had the backlash of seeing everything as "normal"
Instead of investing in setting of proper teams ,a shortcut was divised to solve the shortfall.
Campaign's are expensive to support and it was better to avoid such arrangements than have a "useless " one.

7.No development records.
This was major issue to incumbents .Some struggled to explain what they did in the 4 years and resorted to bluffing when narrowed down.

8.bursaries
This is what made most incumbents to loose their seats.
It was alleged that children from poor backgrounds got around 2k to 3k in bursaries but those from rich and affluent families got around 30-40k in bursaries.
Another issue was applicants who were not from the GEMA communities had their names on the the list of beneficiaries but no cheques to support it.When asked ,most MCA 's alleged that it was an error during the selection process and that it would be rectified "next time".
Another case,it was alleged t that an MCA  demanded for conjugal "rites" inorder to issue the cheques. The reports were however not verified .

9.alienating the youths .
For incumbents ,immediately they got elected ,they saw the youths as a nagging lot and avoided them like plagues .The youths also reciprocated in kind during the nominations.

10.comfort zone attitudes "kura yangu ni yako, you are  the leading candidate ,nani kama wewe,.....tosha "
These terms made some aspirants fall into the comfort zone trap and saw their bids as a success already ,not knowing what was awaiting them .

These are lessons that should be learnt by aspirants ,do your best during campaigns and wait for the verdict but don't wait for the fake endorsements then  regret after the polls

Solai MCA aspirant wants opponents to observe peace in campaigns

Solai MCA hopeful kelvin Waweru has called on residents of the region to maintain law and order during this campaign period and not allow themselves to be used to perpetrate violence.

The aspirant addressed the residents and members of the media at KFA, where he cautioned young people in particular to champion peace during the campaigning for August 8 general elections.

The larger Solai region has witnessed a spike in verbal violence in recent months, and Mr Waweru, who is a Nakuru-based journalist and security expert, said the people should be allowed to choose their leaders freely without the threat of violence. He urged his political opponents including the incumbent to desist from using decisive words that can trigger violence.

The aspirant castigated President Uhuru Kenyatta for engaging in verbal altercations with opposition governors, saying the president was lowering the dignity of his office. "We have seen some reckless remarks made by the president in Turkana and Mombasa counties and call on him to lead by example because his remarks can tear our nation apart".

Mr Waweru, who is running for the seat on a Jubilee party ticket, also called on cabinet secretaries responsible for agriculture and emergencies to step in and save vulnerable families during the current drought situation hitting the country.

Nakuru Governor to loose in Jubilee Nomination

Nakuru county been the heart of kenyan politics in the the rift deserves a potential governor with  people’s goodwill which mbugua has failed to show.

According to my statistics as a resident of Nakuru atleast 7 0ut of 10 people are supporting his opponent John Mututho. The residents of Nakuru are claiming that the

governor has failed to develop the county and corrupted the funds meant to develop the county.

Recently mbugua has set aside 1.5 billion to aid his governortorial campaigns despite poor management of the funds.

Mbugua has increased high taxation rate of parking and small scale business vendors

He has a track record of corrupting the 10000km road projects especially in signing in the salgaaa maji mazuri road despite using it in 2013 elections as his 4th agenda.

MCA caught pants down in a bush with Bishop's wife

Residents of Kakamega were left in deep shock following revelations that an MCA was caught 'chewing' a Bishop’s wife in a bush.

The bishop, whose identity is yet to be disclosed, is a sad man after his wife was caught in the real act with the MCA.

According to eDaily, the MCA is said to have sneaked out of a funeral and went to have fun with wife of the Bishop.

It is said the two were busted around 1am in the act.

The locals have continued to express their shock after the incident.

"We are infuriated by the MCA’s action,” said a mourner as quoted by Tuko.

“He should seek forgiveness from the woman’s husband. The Bishop is his neighbour. It seems he lured the woman using his monies. The Bishop and his wife have eight children together, and the woman has since fled her home.”

The MCA has, however, distanced himself from the claims terming it mere propaganda by his political enemies.

“The propaganda has ruined my reputation, and it hurts me,” Said the MCA, adding.

"They claim they busted me with the said woman, whereas I was at my home Monday night by 10pm, actually asleep beside my wife”
