Jubilee nominee assault opponent during a radio interview where both were hosted

An independent Parliamentary candidate for Bahati constituency in Nakuru county has been admitted to hospital after being beaten up by his rival during a radio show last night.

James Mbugua aka Honest who is physically handicapped was taken to hospital after the rival, a popular politician known for high temperament, beat him senseless in studio and pulled off his artificial leg.

The incident, which is highly hushed by local journalists, happened during a debate by the two politicians on Kikuyu radio station called Ithaga last night.
The assaulting politician was angered by remarks made against him by Mbugua, who lost in Jubilee primaries.
However, Bahati MP aide Joe Ngugi has dismis the aspirant assault claim terming it as a political strategy to get sympathisers votes.
