But who is this tycoon in town?
David Karuri is a business man from Nakuru town west, who has overcome all obstacles and many difficulties to become a successful CEO for Raptor Global which is an international corporation with offices in Atlanta USA, London, India and Nairobi Kenya.
Mr. Karuri served in the US Army and he was among the most decorated Special Forces commanders, having fought in Afghanistan, Iraq and Syria. Upon completion of his service in the army he also consulted for the National security agency NSA and the department of homeland security.
Having been exposed to such kind of high level security training he has over the years become a well sought for security expert which eventually led him in establishing Raptor Global.
He is a philanthropist a billionaire who feels that change and development should impact the lives of the poor of the poorest, giving them freedom from poverty and dependence.
So far, Karuri has spend 32million in Nakuru West by helping the small slum youths, women and PWDs in creating self employment. Among other projects he is scheduled to carry on from is to give water to communities not only in Nakuru Town West constituency but the whole county where water scarcity is a problem.
"I started water projects in various parts last year and so far the people of Lanet are enjoying my project. I will extend this services across the whole county" says Karuri According to him empowerment is the only solution one can give back to the society.
