Nakuru county on the spot over revenue collection. 31st October 2016, 15.55 Kelvin Waweru

The Nakuru county government have continued to scare away investors both local and foreign by charging them heavily.

Its a shame that the governor have been haunting investors since 2013 but nothing tangible has been felt in this county.

Some of the investors whom have  exited Nakuru county due to high taxation includes Eveready ,Naivasha flower firms etc,  forcing them to land in Baringo , Narok and Kericho counties

"some of  our Keroche industry offices were forced to relocate to Nairobi since the Nakuru county taxed us 5times more than Nairobi county". Says Mr Kiarie a Keroche Manager .

Its a shame for this county to charge a company like Keroche 5× than Nairobi bearing in mind they are giving employment opportunities to Nakuru county residents.

The minister incharge should explain to this county why the revenue collection in 2012\2013 was 1.2B , 2013\2014 was 800M ,2014\2015 was 600M,  and now 2015\2016 the IFMIS data shows that the collection revenue is dropping gradually.

We want a full statement from the finance minister  concerning collection revenue in Nakuru county.

We need an explanation who is the minister for finance because Ann Njenga is the CEC for Trade. While Torome is the finance chief officer.

We demand an explanation from the Nakuru county Assembly through chairman finance commitee concerning dropping of county revenue collection.

We need to know whether the county assembly finance committee has ever summoned both CEC, Chief officer and economy advisor.

Now that Torome is seriously campaigning in Narok county, we the Nakuru we demand a serious explanation on this revenue collection issue because wanjiku is paying taxes.
